Why these: first, they don't look like the Nikes or Converse (Cons look like Space Booots). These boots look like Belvilles or any other normal Air Force boot. They are comfortable though which the Belvilles that I've worn since 2007 are not. When you walk in these they feel like regular shoes, not heavy boots. They are the standard sage color. They have a couple breathing vents in the side, which are great in southern pacific. I chose the OTB SAGE boot because they are GSA authorized and they are in regs. with the ABU's. Nope, I was wrong, I had a pair of the lightest boots I ever had my hands on. I strapped the boots on and was instantly amazed on how well they felt. Why did I wait so long to by my own pair of boots? I am usually issued BATES or BELLEVILLE, but for some reason, they never felt good on the feet. New Balance is all about comfort and performance. I have three sets of New Balance shoes. Minimus for weight training, 758s for cross-training, and 890 Bradleys for running. All are great! Now I have a pair of OTBs.
