This light came broken big time. Came by UPS, box had HUGE dent in the side next to the FRAGILE sticker. Like somebody used it as a baseball bat ! I returned it and got refunded. I will buy my next light bulbs from my neighborhood aquarium store.

Used on a aqueon 25 gallon tank. This is used on a lighting ballast that came with the tank. This is good for plants, but you may need more light than this.

Decent product for the money. I used this with a 30 in coralife freshwater dual bulb fixture (which went out within 45 days btw) and it is decent for plants but doesn't put out enough light. Overall its just ok, id recommend saving your money and buying a good light fixture like wave point or current usa for freshwater needs. To be fair, central Aquatics has been really good about replacing the defective unit and their customer service seems great so far.
